Vaccination Requirements
Effective March 1, 2024, we will require the following proof of vaccination for boarding and for grooming. We care deeply about your pets' health and will do all we can to keep them healthy at our facility.
You do not need to bring any tags with you. A copy of your receipt showing the date and duration of the vaccines is all we need. This can be emailed to stay@martinkennel.com or you can bring a copy with you.
For Grooming & Boarding:
Annual Booster
This is the shot that covers them for parvo, distemper, tetanus, etc.
Please make sure your ver includes the Lepto vaccine.
Rabies Vaccine
Boarding guests will need to show proof of rabies vaccine.
Canine/Feline Flu Vaccine
The canine or feline flu vaccine is now required to board your pet.
Kennel Cough/Bordatella
If your pet only comes to us for grooming, the annual vaccine is fine. If you will be boarding with us, you will need to ask your vet for the 6 month vaccine.
For Puppies:
Puppies must have had their first round of puppy shots at least three weeks and be on their second round with kennel cough/Bordatella/Parainfluenza, as well. No exceptions please!
Please note that puppies should not even be put on the ground outside until they have a good vaccine foundation. Unfortunately, dog parks and public areas can be really hard on the health of an animal that doesn't have their vaccines.
Please discuss with your vet when the appropriate time for your pup is to be boarded.
